N J Kearns & Co is a long-established firm started in 1980’s. For more than three decades we have been creating innovative, flexible and efficient designs. We are registered practice with the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland and we are conservation architects Grade III RIAI.

Our portfolio range in scale from small residential extensions to public and institutional buildings. We have an extensive experience in the education, healthcare, commercial, retail and residential sectors. Our experience in renovating includes churches, schools, castles, cottages and army barracks.

Our philosophy emphasis on quality of service and high design. Each project has its own individuality, requirements and challenges, we work closely with our clients to fulfill their aspirations, needs and budget.

Universal Design is particular area of interest. We have an extensive experience designing for people with intellectual disability and people with dementia and physical disability. We are particularly interested in sustainable design and have completed several buildings with the use of renewable technologies, including passive housing.
